New Wine Scotland/CLAN Gathering Mission Statement We want to see Christians and churches alive with the joy of knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ, equipped to live out and proclaim His kingdom, secure in the love of God the Father and in the power of, and using the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, we seek fulfilment of this vision by means of: Summer Family Conferences which will: a. Envision and empower Christians and Churches for worship which is passionate, intimate, reverent and biblical. b. Teach and equip people for Spirit-filled Christian life and ministry in their churches and in the places where they live and work, through biblical exposition and breadth of seminar options. c. Demonstrate ministry in the power of the Spirit, modelling the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in a mature and responsible manner. The Work of the New Wine Scotland Network which: a. Provides local relational support for like-minded leaders across the country and other nations. b. Emphasises the equipping and encouraging of church leaders through New Wine Leaders’ Retreats and similar events c. Encourages national and international faith-sharing visits to churches that are seeking to grow in renewal, by leaders and other teachers taking out teams of people from their churches. d. Seeks to discern what the Spirit is saying about issues of everyday life, e.g. society, family and church. Teaching on these issues is an important part of the seminar programmes at our summer gathering. e. Seeks to help the poor both in this country and beyond through the local church and making needs known at conferences. f. Serves churches, both in this country and abroad, that are seeking to grow in renewal. |
